The International Women’s Day is a global event that commemorates the achievements of women—from the social to the political—while entailing gender equality. Women’s Day is observed on March 8 every year. It is not associated with any single group but pulls together women’s organizations, governments, charities, and corporations.
Many of them would be looking forward to celebrate this big day and make it special for ladies of their life may it be their mother, sister, wife, girlfriend, or friend. So, let us suggest you some ways to celebrate this day with your loved one and make it memorable for them.
- Send cards to the beloved ladies of your life:
Who wouldn’t like to receive an unexpected card in the mail? So, on this day you can send a card to the ladies in your life. It can be anyone—your mom, wife, sister, best friend, colleague, or an old teacher you have been trying to reach out.
- Contribute to your beloved women’s cause or donations:
On your calendar, simply mark March 8 and if you can afford, try to contribute by donating to organizations that work for women’s progress. Or instead, contribute through your talents. Employ as a helper, whether you are assisting to organize events or designing pamphlets.
- Spend in the future of women:
Get involved or donate to with an institute that inspires and supports the younger women generation—such as She’s the First, which is a not-for-profit that supports the education of the girls in the developing world.
- Connect in person:
Why not surprise your beloved lady by taking them for a coffee, lunch, or dinner and make the day special and memorable for them. You can also arrange for a get together by inviting your female friends, sisters and cousins, mother, and plan some activities.
