Audi Chairman Trashes The Rumor Of CEO Stadler To Be Fired
Matthias Mueller, the Audi Chairman, requested to employees to pay no attention to a media report that Rupert Stadler (the Chief Executive) was about to be removed, expecting to put down further turbulence at the scandal-smacked Volkswagen group.
Bild, the German tabloid, posted on its front page last week that Stadler might depart in April 20187 due to his management of the diesel emissions scandal, in which Audi had a major role. The report claimed Stadler might though be offered a fresh role as finance chief of VW group.
In a memo to the staff of Audi, Mueller, who is also parent company Volkswagen’s CEO, claimed that the luxury car manufacturer required the complete attentiveness of workers and management to conquer its present hurdles below “proven leadership” of Stadler. “Please ignore to the personnel rumors spread by the media, which falls short of any proof,” Mueller claimed to the media in the message conveyed by email.
Volkswagen has frequently made an attempt to draw a line below a scandal that broke out a couple of years back when it confessed cheating diesel-emission trials in the U.S. to hide the amount of noxious gases given out by some of its cars.
