Congress Wins All 3 Seats In Rajasthan By Elections
Rajasthan bypoll results and Congress couldn’t be any happier as the party won 3 out of 3 bypolls in Rajasthan. This certainly came as a big blow to the ruling party, BJP before national polls which is to be held next year and a number of state elections.
Congress won the Ajmer and Alwar parliamentary seats and beats BJP in Mandalgarh assembly by-election.
A tweet by Rahul Gandhi expresses his happiness over the victory. He said he is proud of those who have voted and congratulated Rajasthan Congress. He further tweeted that this indicates that people are rejecting BJP in Rajasthan.
Just like full election, both the parties took complete preparation before the by-elections. Vasundhara Raje, the Chief Minister and Sachin Pilot, Congress leader were seen campaigning hard for the bypolls.
This level of victory by Congress is certainly a matter of concern of the ruling party, BJP.
Congress got approximately 2 lakh votes in Alwar and beaten BJP by more than 84,000 votes. In spite of an insurgent in Mandalgarh that seized 22% share of voting, Congress registered victory by over 12,000 votes.
The CM, Raje expressed in Twitter that the party is always committed to the development of Rajasthan and they will work even harder.
Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP leader commented that these results are not setting any national trend. The reasons for loss will be studied and bypolls are not the complete picture.
BJP suspects that Karni Sena’s protest against the movie ‘Padmaavat’ and cow castigator assaults in Alwar could be the reason behind its ruined prospect.
Sachin Pilot said that people have discarded BJP government and welcomed back his party. He gave the credit to youths who haven’t been carried away by the polarization politics. This marks a major comeback for Pilot after his defeat in 2014.
The 3 seats are taken by CP Joshi, Sachin Pilot and Jitendra S. Bhanwar. All three are trusted lieutenants of Rahul Gandhi in Rajasthan.
Milind Deora said their victory in Rajasthan and just a gap of 10 seats with BJP in Gujarat show signs of rural misery in the financial market.
